Research and Development
At our company, innovation and new thinking occur daily, and among our skilled employees in our technical R department, the development of products and services is the main focus.
The main projects of the R department involve the improvement of our own refining and production solutions, in addition to the development of new products and services.
This work entails a growing need for the renewal and further development of expertise in the chemical behavior of precious metals, as well as continuous improvement in mechanical and casting technical understanding to ensure development.
In addition to understanding and improving our internal processes, the quality of our products must also contribute to our customers positioning themselves at the top of their fields globally. Our extensive experience and broad knowledge ensure our customers receive the best products on the market.
The research department possesses specialized expertise in the fields of Metallurgy/Materials Technology and Chemistry/Catalysis. Our employees are carefully selected and assembled to form a unique professional environment that will drive K.A. Rasmussen forward.
Close collaboration with leading research environments
The R department also serves as a link between K.A. Rasmussen and other collaborating companies and R institutions. Among our partners are universities such as the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the University of Oslo (UiO), as well as entities like SINTEF.
K.A. Rasmussen is currently part of the iCSI (Industrial Catalyst Science and Innovation) research center, a collaboration between NTNU, UiO, SINTEF, Haldor Topsøe, Yara, Dynea, Inovyn, and K.A. Rasmussen. This is a Centre for Research-based Innovation, supported by the Research Council of Norway. This center conducts world-leading research in the field of Catalysis. K.A. Rasmussen provides professional assistance to two working groups here, one for each of our catalysis products. The goal of the center is to work on innovations in these fields by improving the understanding of the catalytic properties of the products during operation.
Our employees are always open to questions and discussions regarding technical issues concerning our products and services.
