What is a Metal Account?
A metal account is a flexible solution where the value of gold or silver you submit is held as a metal balance instead of being paid out in NOK. In practice, this means you get a balance in gold or silver in your account, based on weight and quality, instead of money in your account.
- A metal account allows you to use submitted gold or silver as payment for metals and products later.
- The metal is debited directly from the account, without the need for cash settlement.
- For jewelers, this provides better cash flow and simpler planning.
- For private customers, it is a practical way to retain value in metal form, available when needed.
