For over 150 years, K.A. Rasmussen has helped form the very backbone of Norwegian and Nordic goldsmithing craftsmanship. As the Nordic region’s largest producer and supplier of precious metals, we ensure goldsmiths have access to pure raw materials, precise alloys, and expertise they can rely on—every single day.

With our own production of sheets, wire, and semi-finished products in gold, silver, and platinum—developed and refined in Hamar—we provide goldsmiths with a foundation upon which they can build lasting, precise, and professional work. Our extensive experience, combined with modern production methods, ensures that goldsmiths can trust the purity, consistency, and traceability of every single piece of metal they receive.

Silver Products

Through our production, we currently refine to up to 99.99% purity. This can only be achieved by using the purest silver and copper of the highest purity. Our silver materials have a special grain structure that makes them particularly suitable for processing.

We offer alloys 830, 925, and 999 in various forms such as sheets, blanks, wire, solder, anodes, and granules. If you have other needs that extend beyond the standard range, please contact us for a special order.

Platinum Products

We have a long history and tradition in the production and processing of platinum alloys. As early as 1932, K.A. Rasmussen participated in the pioneering development of the first catalyst gauzes for the production of nitric acid in Norway. Since that time, we have developed our production, based on laboratory use and research purposes, among other things. Today we offer platinum wire and sheets, crucibles, casting pans, electrodes, thermocouples and tubes, as well as crucible tongs and boats. These are offered in pure platinum or in various alloys.
